Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Friends of Milne Public Library. No commitment is too large or too small – get involved as your interests and schedule permit. Here is a quick overview of our initiatives.

Book Donation Center: If you love being around books, you will be surrounded with books at our Friends Book Donation Center, located in the Milne Public Library. Volunteers sort, categorize, and organize our donations from the community. These donations stock our store (Chapter Two Books) and our online sales initiatives.

Chapter Two Books: Would you enjoy interacting with our customers and sharing your love of books? We’re often looking for help at the Chapter Two Books store on Spring Street. It is run and staffed completely by volunteers, all of whom strive to support each other and present a warm and welcoming presence for customers.

Special Projects: Consider being part of a small group or team working on discrete short-term projects, occasional special sales, or events.

Behind the Scenes: There are many ways to support the Friends programs. We are always looking for volunteers with special backgrounds, skills, or talents – financial, technical, business, creative, logistical, leadership.

Volunteers are a valuable resource!

Complete the following survey to help us identify how your talents and interests match our needs.

We encourage all our volunteers to join the Friends. Annual dues help us support non-operational library needs that are not covered by town, state, or Trustee funding.

Joining is easy.

Complete the online form, choose an annual dues level, and become a Friend!
